El Chisme Catering found its name and spirit within the heart of our local community. When we first opened our humble food cart selling hot dogs, we quickly became a spot for lively connection a place where neighbors felt comfortable sharing stories, enjoying food, and asking “What’s the chisme?” (gossip) of the day. Our cart became a safe space where everyone was welcome, blending delicious food with friendly conversation.
On our very first day, ten different customers asked if we sold Mexican corn, by the fourth request, we joked that we’d already sold out and promised to bring more tomorrow. That moment taught us to listen to our community and adapt to what people really wanted. Fueling not just our menu, but the warmth and spirit behind our business. From those early conversations and laughs came our name. El Chisme, celebrating both the flavor on your plate and the buzz in the air. Today, we continue to serve as a community hub, bringing authentic Mexican catering and a welcoming vibe to every event.

We draw inspiration from traditional ofrendas the beautifully crafted altars honoring loved ones, symbolizing respect, memory, and love. The CocksComb flower and marigold hold a special place in our hearts, representing the founders’ parents and the strong family bonds that inspire our passion.
